Rhubarb punch
Summer jam sessions and soft botanics
Good morning. Happy Tuesday!
Some photos down below, including one of rhubarb blossoms :)
Thank you to everyone who attended the concert this past Saturday. We had a nice turnout with a fun jam session after. During the intermission, Raylene put out her usual incredible spread of hors d'oeuvres and beverages. She including something she had not made in a long time; Rhubarb Punch.
This was a big hit at previous events a while back, but she had nearly forgotten it - she couldn’t even find her recipe! Luckily, I had stashed it on the old Ludgate Farms website. When we retired from the food business in 2010 and sold the property, I moved all the recipes to canaaninstitute.org .
Here is the rhubarb punch recipe https://canaaninstitute.org/recipes/recipe24.html and if you poke around, you’ll see a bunch more recipes up a level or two https://canaaninstitute.org/home/recipes/ Note from Raylene: the recipe suggests to puree the rhubarb in the blender. She skipped that on Saturday due to time constraints, so it was kind of ‘pulpy’. Your call on that step.
Jam sessions - Now that the weather is nice and stays light pretty late, you should take a drive to here on Wed night and play some tunes with us. We have sheet music with chords if you need it. We play a lot from the local New England (ish) tune set YFN. You can download it for free on the website. More https://canaaninstitute.org/mikesmusicblog/events/
If you made it to here, I genuinely thank you for scrolling to the end. If you “like” and “share” my posts, that really helps me by increasing my readership. It is been great seeing all the “likes” (hearts) pop up. I appreciate and notice every single one. -Mike :)

I’m going to try the punch. Love the iris picture.
By the looks of your schedule, you’ve been a busy man.
