Come visit! This weekend, Saturday the 13th, we are having an open house here at the Canaan Institute from 12-5 pm (directions on the website). Raylene will demonstrate her wreath making. I will have a huge variety of photo-art for sale; calendars, cards, prints both matted and framed. I have 3 choices of calendars. The images below are some wintry scenes from 2026 calendars. Come dance! Or listen. On Sunday The O’Shanigans band will play for a contra dance in Owego NY from 2-5 pm with Ithaca favorite Nancy Spero calling the dances. O’Shanigans has been playing for this particular dance for 15ish years, usually about once per year. Musicians are Margaret Ball-Lumumba (fiddle, surprise instrument), Philip Robinson (Guitar), Michael Ludgate (mandolin, feet, fiddle) and Katrina Mackey (flute, fiddle). O’Shanigans plays American and world folk tunes for dancing. Address and more info
